I can feel the nights and mornings getting cooler already and that means fall is just around the corner. Time to retire the neons and pastels from summer (sad I know), and change up your fall colors. Here are some fun colors to start working into your wardrobe for fall.

fashion trend: animal print
i wouldn't say that i love animal print, however over time i've acquired a lot of it. i never go into a store looking for animal print leggings or pants but somehow i own both (along with 13 other animal print pieces, yes i counted). it's fun to wear but i'm not suggesting going out and buying an entire zebra print outfit, please please don't do that. you don't want an outfit to shout animal print, just whisper.

fashion trend: color blocking
color blocking may not be for the timid fashionista, color blocking takes opposites on the color wheel to create the widest contrast possible.
you probably already own several pieces that you can mix & match to color block or easily transition into basics if you aren't feeling the trend later on. a few simple rules for color blocking are, make sure to choose flattering and classic shapes like tailored shorts, pencil skirts and silk blouses. don't forget about accessories, a pop of color with a belt or purse can add a lot to an outfit but on the opposite spectrum if you're feeling like you look like a preschool mat instead of a fashionista try toning an outfit down with nude accessories. if all of this is still too overwhelming then you can try pre color blocked pieces, color blocked shirts would look great with bright shorts and a bright belt would go well with a color blocked dress.

studs are showing up everywhere, and i love it! everything from shoes to hair accessories, studs are in! they add a certain punch to an outfit and can be paired with feminine florals, bright neons, or to intensify the look dark colors. studs can be used in a way to match everyones individual style, wether they're micro mini studs on sling backs or oversized spikes on flats.

no need to save your sparkly duds for a night on the town, sequins studded outfits are now a totally doable trend for daytime. not only do they add a ton of shine and texture to an outfit but they come in an array of colors too.
